Taoglas have a requirement for an Senior IT & Cloud Engineer based out of our Dublin offices. We are looking to hire an experienced engineer to manage our company’s computer systems. As a Snr. IT/Cloud engineer, you will be responsible for designing hardware configurations, installing software, managing network systems, and training staff on correct operating procedures.
Responsibilities
To ensure success for this role, you should have extensive experience maintaining computer systems, the ability to project manage, and excellent troubleshooting skills. Ultimately, a top-level engineer can design and maintain a dynamic and stable system to perfectly meet the needs of the company.
Meeting with the IT manager to discuss system needs.
Designing and installing computer hardware configurations mainly based within AWS and Azure.
Create a well-informed cloud strategy and managing the adaptation process
Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the needs of the company
Lead Taoglas through cloud adoption and establish best practices.
Installing networking systems including HP Aruba, Fortinet & AWS Transit gateways
Ability to work with our development team to assist in the design of environments to host Taoglas products.
Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to security and compliance best practices
Ensure the cost of cloud solutions is fully managed and opportunities for savings are realised.
Troubleshooting network, hardware and software issues.
Fixing hardware, software, and networking issues.
Managing AD & O365 environments
Knowledge of security tools such as Crowd Strike, Dark Trace
Responding to general IT requests
Bringing automated solutions to standard operations where appropriate
Training staff on newly installed systems.
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
Extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems including Cloud environments
Familiarity with general OS systems, Enterprise, programming languages, and O365
General knowledge of networking – IP, DNS, SMTP, Wireless, LAN, Firewalls
Ability to manage projects.
Good communication skills.
Ability to solve complex software and hardware issues.
